Do not turn height into permission
A measured gap above an appliance answers a geometric question. It does not establish that operating the machine below a cupboard is permitted. The Bambino US/Canada manual, for example, contains placement and use instructions that must be read in full. The planner is not a replacement for them.
Start with the exact model manual, not a general decorating photograph. Record any relevant restrictions in your checklist. If a proposed location conflicts with instructions, changing the numeric allowance in a calculator does not make it appropriate.
Separate access from operation
A hopper lid or water tank may require room beyond the closed height. Those tasks are different from heat, moisture, steam or electrical considerations. Keep the questions separate when contacting the manufacturer: “Can this operate here?” and “What access space is needed for this task?” are not interchangeable.
Do not assume a sliding tray resolves either question. A tray adds its own dimensions and changes the arrangement; the appliance instructions and actual installation still govern. This site does not recommend moving hot or connected equipment.
Keep a reason to rule the location out
A planning exercise should allow a no. If the installation requirements cannot be satisfied, investigate another permitted location or a different approach to making coffee. Do not buy equipment merely because its listed height is less than the measured cabinet gap.
Our result language deliberately says “recorded reservations fit,” not “safe to use.” Before purchase, confirm the actual model, complete placement requirements and the configuration you intend to use.
