Start with grams actually used
The coffee-stock calculator asks for grams of dry coffee per preparation and the average number of preparations per day. Use a measured value or your intended recipe; the default is just an arithmetic example. It is not a caffeine or consumption recommendation.
Multiply those numbers to estimate daily coffee use. If your routine varies, calculate separate scenarios instead of treating the average as a precise prediction. A weekday-only habit and a seven-day habit are different inputs.
Match the bag’s net mass
Enter the bag’s net coffee mass in grams or ordinary avoirdupois ounces. One such ounce is 28.349523125 grams. Fluid ounces measure volume and are not interchangeable with ounces of coffee mass. The conversion is grounded in NIST’s unit tables.
For example, 18 grams per preparation and two preparations a day use 36 grams daily. A 340-gram bag represents about 9.44 days at that assumed rate. This is invented arithmetic, not a claim about the dose or yield of any brewer.
Count stock before buying more
The tool subtracts coffee you say is already available from the target period’s requirement, then rounds the remaining amount to whole bags. It also shows nominal leftover mass. An optional allowance can represent extra coffee you expect to use; it is your assumption, not a required waste percentage.
The result is not a freshness guarantee or automatic subscription recommendation. Check actual consumption and current stock before ordering. Save the inputs as well as the total so you can explain a difference between the estimate and what happened.
